Item Description
Four items. Two books are variety of the same title "World’s Fair Through a Camera Snap Shots by an Artist" by F. Dundas Todd St. Louis. Soft cover is 4 7/8" x 6 3/8" and has photos on front cover, the other is 5.25x6.5" hard cover without cover photos. Both have similar contents, but hard cover has photo of Ferris Wheel and soft cover does not. Third view book is 5 1/8x7.25" hard cover titled "Souvenir of the World’s Fair" © 1893 by A. Wittemann with nice gravure photos along w/amusement area features including Ferris Wheel. All three feature high quality photos of various buildings including Electrical, Women’s, Indian Camp, Rhode Island clam bake, Transportation building and much more. Pennsylvania Railroad book is 9.5x12 1/8" hard cover with 184 pages with extensive history of railroad up to that point with numerous plates showing everything from early broadsides to most recent passenger cars as well as complete catalog of huge exhibit contained in Pennsylvania Railroad building. All four books have scattered wear around edges, photo souvenir books are Fine/VF overall. Pennsylvania Railroad book has 1.25" seam split at spine edge and covers are pulling loose from inside covers at spine seams. First and last four blank pages have been written on in lead pencil but rest of contents are relatively clean. Overall cover is Good, inside pages Fine/VF. Wonderful images in all four.
