Item Description
Six items. Pressbooks are each 8.5x16" with slick paper covers stapled at top with additional tape strip. Each contains 12 newsprint pages with newspaper mats printed on fronts for use in local papers. Dates and numbers are 1953 #24, 1955 #31 and #32. 1953 issue has art image of clown and elephant at top with target in center, both 1955 issues have snarling tiger on front covers. Contents include various circus performers including clown Emmett Kelly, trapeze artist, camelopard, okapi animal, elephants and more. All three are Exc. Pair of courier mailers are each 8.5x11.25" newsprint with high quality gravure printing. Each has 16 pages with clown photos on front covers. One is for 1953, the other for 1954. Contents include centerfolds with "Big Top Beauties", clown Emmett Kelly, and numerous photos of other circus acts. 1953 issue has imprint on back cover for Tacoma, 1954 issue has no imprint. Both are Exc. Sixth item is 10x16.25" paper courier with four pages with promotion of "Hugo Zacchini The Human Projectile" with nice images of him on front and back cover including text "A Living Person Shot Through Space With Violent Velocity From The Mouth Of A Monster Cannon! The Sensation Of The Century". Bottom edge of the front cover has pencil date of 1929, circus was put on in Kalamazoo on July 17. Two horizontal folds through center, a few small tears around blank margin edges. Good. All six items have nice designs with wonderful images.
