Item Description
14x22 1/8" for boxing match held in Los Angeles November 15, 1962. Poster is for closed circuit TV viewing at Expo building in Portland, Maine. Printed by Maury Poster Printing Co. Inc. NYC. Nice photo at left of Archie Moore and nice photo at lower right of 20-year old Cassius Clay who would become Muhammad Ali. Poster has some surface dust soil and scattered moisture marks, upper left has 1.25" diagonal tear near text. Overall VG. Clay had fought professionally 15 times, Moore over 200 times. Clay won the fight. This fight was part of a series of elimination fights which eventually led Clay to the Sonny Liston fight where he won the Heavyweight Championship. Nice design.
