1890s. 4.25x6.5" cardboard mount with Benjamin, Cincinnati, Ohio stamp at bottom has photo showing Chief wearing headdress sitting in chair with blanket with daughter next to him as wife stands nearby with feathers in hair holding small boy. Handwritten text in ink “Sioux Indians Rosebud, S. Dak” and ink text on back “Chief Iron Shell, Wife and Children”. Photo is faded with age, left side of mount is missing tiny piece of paper. Still Fine. Nice pose in front of teepee.
