Item Description
13.5x18x2.5" deep box c. 1930s by J. Pressman & Co. New York. Die-cut lattice style lid has cellophane windows and nice graphics of Annie, Sandy, Daddy Warbucks and other characters from Annie books. Side panels show sewing related images. Cellophane windows are torn, all four corners of lid have splits, moderate lifting of sruface paper w/a few pcs. missing, all character images remain. Overall VG. Set contains several types of sewing items. Printed fabric pieces were designed to be sewn together and all have been including Annie. A 6.25" tall generic bisque doll designed like little girl in play suit with movable arms is enclosed and was to be dressed in various outfits. Also includes Tricky-Knit 3.5" tall wooden spool with applied paper labels with Annie image. Interior appears complete with all outfits and instruction sheet. Annie cloth figure was designed to be sewn together and stuffed. Fine. Knitting machine, doll, and other contents are VF/Exc. Rare large set.
