Item Description
First card is 3.5x5.25" c. 1905. Image has sideshow tent with two hand painted banners featuring Siamese twins about 3-4 years old being viewed by well-dressed ladies and gentlemen. Several men are standing under banners with one leaning on "Admission 10¢" banner. Some lt. silvering around edges, mostly just visible in reflected light. Trace of tiny wear around margin edges but overall Fine. Postally unused. Comes with 3.25x5-1/8" semi-glossy card c. 1930s w/blank reverse showing "America's Only Born Jointed Together Siamese Twins" Mary and Margaret Gibb with one typing and one sewing. Exc. Likely sold by them at their appearances. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
