Item Description
1930s by J. Pressman & Co. 9.25x15x1.5" deep box has nice lid graphics by creator Chester Gould showing Tracy and Junior smiling and looking through magnifying glass. This is the larger of two boxes and includes "No. 119" on lid which does not appear on the smaller set. Front and back side panels have art images of various components including magnifying glass, fingerprint pad, roller, and badge. Lid has some lt. dust soil with bit of wear around edges, most noticeable across top seam at left side. Displays Fine. Die-cut thin cardboard insert platform includes nice graphic of Tracy smiling at Chief Patton. Set is missing 20 page booklet with instructions & pages for fingerprint placement and also missing tube of detective ink. Still has "Dick Tracy Secret Service" aluminum badge, magnifying glass, ink roller, canister of fingerprint powder, and dusting brush. Platform has some dust soil with a few age spots here and there and tears where items are inserted. VG. Contents are Fine. Nicely designed with superb graphics.
