Item Description
Each is 7.25x9.5" hardcover with 318 pages published by Whitman. Annie title is #4054 ©1934 with nice front cover art of her sitting on Daddy Warbuck’s lap as Sandy watches and back cover art of Daddy Warbucks' estate. Covers have wear around edges, with a few corner tip bumps. Spine has black color touch-ups. Good. 29 pages have been partially but neatly colored in crayon. Inside spine seam at front and back have a few separations. Contents otherwise Fine. Skippy book is #4056 ©1938 Percy L. Crosby. Front cover has art of Skippy carrying a bag being followed by a friend who looks worried and back cover has art with Skippy and friend arguing. Black areas of spine have minor color touch-ups, back cover has some pencil shading of character on left with a few pencil scribbles. Cover edges are a bit worn with lt. bumps to corner tips. Cover is VG. Blank frontispiece page has been neatly inscribed in ink with birthday greeting. Pages have lt. aging but no coloring. Overall VF. Nice pair.
