9.5x12.5" with high quality embossed covers for event held May 3 in New York City for 9th annual benefit. These benefits were held in various cities to support the building and maintenance of NVA clubhouses to be built in major cities. Front cover has art image of manager and artist hands shaking with NVA logo. Back cover has ad for Chevrolet. Book is over 1" thick and has numerous b/w and color photos and illustrations. Includes art by cartoonists Milt Gross, Herschfield, Ken Kling, and others. Includes art of Singer's Midgets who later appeared in the Wizard of Oz, movie comedian Larry Semon in "The Wizard of Oz" with photo of him as Scarecrow, Burt Lahr who later played the Cowardly Lion of Oz, Sophie Tucker, New York Giants baseball team photo, Pert Kelton, Rube Goldberg cartoon, Ted Lewis photo, and Bill Robinson photo. Contains much more and we have additional photos online. Covers have some wear with a few missing bits of surface paper around edges. Overall covers Good, insides Fine/VF.
