Item Description
6x9.25" with 216 pages by George Lowther, published by Random House. Book has bw illustrations throughout, beginning and ending of story chapters plus six full page bw illustrations and four choice full color plates. All art is by Joe Shuster, co-creator of Superman. Dust jacket shows Superman flying over city and reads, “Stories Are Completely New And Have Never Before Appeared Anywhere”. Dust jacket is heavily worn with some creasing and is missing 1x1.5" piece at lower right and 1" piece at top right corner and has 1.5" diagonal tear at upper left. Just Good. Book cover shows some aging Fine. Blank flyleaf page is lightly tanned and has 1943 ink Christmas inscription but otherwise contents are overall VF/Exc. Wonderful art throughout. This is the very first Superman regular book ever published
