Item Description
Each is 7x10" with 114 pages. "Marvel Tales" is Vol. 1 #6 for Dec. 1939 with nice cover art of winged woman carrying aviator holding pistol with biplanes in bkg. done as illustration for story "The Angel From Hell" by Nils O. Sonderlund. Inside story illustration for same story has image of villain about to stomp on bare-breasted woman who is lying flat on ground. Covers have some dust soil, most noticeable on front cover which has a few tiny pieces gone at right side of bottom edge. Inside pages are tanned at margin edges. Overall covers Fine, insides VG+. "Uncanny Stories" issue is Vol. 1 #1 for Aug. 1941 with front cover art of giant germs attacking man and woman on city street done as illustration for "Coming Of The Giant Germs" story by Ray Cummings. Contents include art by noted comic book artists Jack Kirby and Schomburg. Covers have dust soil, back cover is missing .5x1" piece at right side of top. Inside cover is tanned and first page is heavily dust soiled. Overall Good/VG. Nice graphics throughout on both.
