Item Description
Three 8.5x11" paper sheets hold a total of 113 buttons with 107 of these being from the 1972 campaign and six for his 1974 Senate reelection campaign. In row 1 first item at left is an original "McGovern/Eagleton" name button, one of the few authentic items to be issued while Eagleton remained on the ticket. In row 1 at far right is the Bristow produced "Liberated Ladies Like McGovern & Shriver." This features a young woman nude from the waist up and sporting a generous main of hair. This has a .25" hairline cello split along the back collet but cello still lays perfectly flat and the front appearance remains Mint. This one button alone frequently exceeds $100.00. Of the other 112 buttons we would guarantee 98% to be Exc. to essentially Mint. A nice in depth group.
