Item Description
3" button likely produced for the 1980 Democratic Convention in NYC at which Carter faced a challenge from Ted Kennedy. Carter is portrayed as a worm in the apple. He has enlarged head and wears sunglasses with prominent buck teeth which include a bit of straw sticking from them. Curl has name of Poughkeepsie maker "Dutchess Adv. Inc." From the Marshall Levin Collection, the only one found and essentially Mint. We've not discovered any previous auction records for this item. Comes with Hake's COA.
