Item Description
40x90" three line gold trim vintage silk fleur de lis, and satin fringe pattern throughout worn in the 1937 film “Conquest”. Comes with 8x10" glossy movie still of Garbo in full costume with scarf wrapped around her forearms as she stands behind chair. Right side of scarf has coffee stains in 6" area along edge with a few other smaller stains. Otherwise VG/Fine. Photo is heavily creased, just Good but a great vintage publicity photo. Anything screen-worn from Garbo’s wardrobe is virtually non-existent. This one has the added bonus of a movie still authenticating the scarf. Scarf was originally obtained from Bonhams & Butterfield's Auction in Los Angeles. Garbo played Napoleon’s paramour Marie Waleska in the MGM film. Wonderful item for display. Comes with Hake’s COA.
