Item Description
14x17" superb large format spiral bound with stiff paper covers has front cover photo of entrance to Paramount Studio and back cover has montage photo showing various movie theaters. Book is designed to promote films for the 1933-34 season. BW slick paper pages have some accent color here and there. Some titles never went into production or the title was changed to another when released. Two page spreads include Maurice Chevalier in "The Way to Love", Mae West in "I’m No Angel/It Ain’t No Sin", Marlene Dietrich in "The Songs of Songs", the four Marx Brothers in "Duck Soup", "Alice in Wonderland", "Funny Page" with W. C. Fields playing Der Inspector and Charlie Ruggles playing Popeye, "Lives Of A Bengal Lancer" with Gary Cooper, "Design For Living" with Fredric March. Single page promotions include "Death Takes a Holiday" with Fredric March and Claudette Colbert, "All Of Me" with George Raft and Carole Lombard, and "Honer Bright" with Gary Cooper and Claudette Colbert. Book also includes Paramount Shorts section with nice half page ad promoting Betty Boop cartoons with Koko shown. Book also features individual photos of stars including Cary Grant, Charles Laughton, Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Gary Cooper and others. Comes with two loose as issued addenda sheets. Covers have some lt. creasing and dust soil, contents show lt. handling wear. Overall Fine/VF. Great design and superb photos throughout. Additional photos are online.
