1.5" reading "Now/Peace/Freedom/Scheer." 1.5" button from the Levin Collection issued for Robert Scheer who was the 1964-1969 Ramparts magazine editor-in-chief. He was among the 1st anti-war candidates and challenged U.S. Representative Jeffrey Cohlelan in the 1966 Democratic primary in the Berkeley, CA area. He received 45% of the vote but lost. He was also later a journalist with the Los Angeles Times, a writer for Nation magazine and a weekly radio host for Public Radio International. Exc. and displays Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
