Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
This very unusual 15/16" button features a brass back with a tiny cut-out holding a vertical 7/8" pin. Button displays a human skull but on close inspection the eyes are the heads of young children while the nose is a dog's head between the two children plus some tiny marks below giving the impression of teeth. Rim text reads "Trade Mark/C.S. Walsh, Trusses etc./383 Bond, Cleve'd, O." Single faint tan dot upper right but button displays N. Mint. Only the second we've seen. Rare.
