Item Description
6x8.5" mailing envelope addressed to Joe Gura in Chicago has “WAFC” insignia in upper left of front. 1942. Envelope has minor wear on end flap and a few lt. handling creases but overall Fine. Contains items for nicely designed premium. 5.25x8" soft cover booklet has 24 pages and includes detailed text on the items supplied with this kit along with illustrations and other wartime information. Front cover has individual issue #39925. Back cover has “WAFC Performance Pledge” and blanks to fill in names of squadron leader and fighter pilot. Manual is N.Mint. Kit holds original issue six “Honor Bars”. These are 1.25x5" tan felt with insignia design in green/red. One has letters “SL” and is for the squadron leader while the other five just have “WAFC” logo. All are Mint. These honor bars were designed so that once a month a gold star was added to them with ultimate goal of 12 stars. Comes with small envelope containing all six gold star sheets. Mint. Final item is original amount of six 2.75x7" stiff paper sheets with “WAFC” name and insignia design. All are unused and Mint. The only 100% complete unused kit we’ve ever offered.
