Item Description
7/8" button with backpaper from St. Louis Button Co. Button was issued shortly after the Feb. 20, 1962 first orbital space flight by John Glenn making him the first human to orbit the planet following in the tracks of Enos the Chimp who was the first orbital animal having successfully completed an orbit on board Mercury 5 on Nov. 29, 1961. First example we've seen of this rare button which is essentially Mint.
