Item Description
High quality dolls, each in matching size of about 14" to tops of their hats. From 1938. That year different size/style dolls produced by Ideal, Knickerbocker and Krueger. Both of these dolls are very similar but Happy is by Knickerbocker (and the smallest size they made, see item #2545) while Dopey is by Krueger. Each has stuffed velveteen body with felt accents. Oil cloth faces with painted features. Happy has life-like beard and metal buckle while Dopey has a felt buckle. Names printed on hats. Typical but very slight aging to velveteen, a bit more on Happy than Dopey. Happy has some color rubs on face. Still Fine while Dopey is choice, Exc. condition. Nice pair. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
