Item Description
Each of these high quality dolls is about 6x7x19" tall. Almost entirely made of felt w/stuffed bodies that have wire inserts in arms and legs for posing. Each has hard plastic eyes, Clarabelle has wood bead necklace. She also holds a purse which is attached to one arm. Lars produced Disney dolls from the 1950s into the 1970s. These are some of the earliest examples and from the 1950s. The earlier versions are mostly felt, later examples incorporated other materials. While these were licensed by Disney, they were not to be sold in the U.S. resulting in their rarity. These Lars dolls are among the nicest Disney dolls ever produced. Each has lt. trace of dust soiling, most noticeable on white areas of their faces. Felt has just the slightest hint of fading to the fronts of the dolls. Inside right edge of Horace's left shoe has a pair of 1/8" spots of missing felt. Also has some tiny scattered tan spots on shoes and pant cuffs. None of these defects detract from doll's overall appearance. Dolls are VF. Large, highly detailed and very impressive dolls.
