Item Description
This four-piece doll set is by same maker as #2265 (see description for pertinant information regarding these dolls). These are also some of the earliest Lars dolls, 1950s. The Wolf is 7x13x23" tall while each Pig is about 6x6x12" tall. Stuffed dolls are primarily felt although Wolf's body has bushy plush covering. Great image of Wolf w/opened mouth revealing pointed teeth. Each Pig holds wood/metal objects which include fife, violin, bow and trowel. While Fiddler and Fifer dolls have happy expressions, Practical Pig has a serious look on his face. Dolls have lt. trace of dust soiling, st. trace of fade to felt, primarily to the fronts of the dolls. Set is VF. Very impressive in design and quality, especially the Wolf who towers over the Three Pigs.
