Item Description
28.25x40.5" for original release of 1920 film. Choice art depicts a woman cowering in a corner w/her dress ripped and tattered turning to look at Tom Mix who is trying to wrestle a gun away from her attacker. Text reads "William Fox Presents Tom Mix In Desert Love A Tale Of The West-Directed By Jacques Jaccard-Fox Entertainment." A lower right is logo for "The H. C. Miner Litho Co. New York." Poster has been linen-mounted and has a number of small areas of restoration. These include 2x5" area at top left corner, 2x4" area on Tom's body, primarily his yellow shirt, 2x4" area at lower center, primarily on the letter "M" of "Tom." Other much smaller areas of restoration appear on the border, tiny color touchups along original fold lines. All restoration blends quite nicely w/design so really only noticeable when viewed closely. Poster remains bright and clean w/rich color.
