Item Description
This piece is 2.25" tall by 2.5" wide depicting an elephant made of laminated layers of rhodoid (cellulose acetate sheets) with applied black plastic accents for his tusk and large ear. Her husband created the process of laminating the cellulose layers and she made her whimsical jewelry pieces from 1969 to about 1981. The reverse of the elephant has a metal frame holding a bar pin set into the back of the material and the support arms carry the inscription "Lea Stein/Paris." N. Mint, displaying Mint.
