Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
This company began in the late 1920s as Monocraft Products Co. of Providence, R.I. This piece is c. 1955 and one side edge has small inset piece of metal with a copyright symbol and their "Monet" name. The thick red plastic band measures about 1" across with a thickness of the material varying from as much as .5" down to 5/16". The material is also molded so that the edge where the material is thinnest has an overall shape slightly concave. On the interior surface is black/silver sticker, small edge nick and with very slight trace of wear to the color, reading "Directives by Monet" plus what seems to be a model number "07137" and what seems to be a price "20.00." The dark red plastic is accented by a cream colored circle on one side and a cream colored vertical stripe on the opposite side. A very stylish piece of 1950s jewelry. Exc. and displays Mint.
