Auction #202 - Part II
Item numbers 1554 through 3213 in auction 202
Item Description
9x12". 1930s. The Mickey mask commonly found is thin paper and issued by various companies and in various ways. That was made by Einson-Freeman as is this display but this is on thin cardboard with subtle differences from that mask. For one, this has tiny die-cut holes for attachment of string, not fold-over tabs for rubber bands like the paper version. This store display version has stands for upright counter display on either side. One of these is an expertly crafted replacement, the other is original and has company text. The center of the display is the model you could obtain as a premium and was to be punched-out. Top has ad for issuer Pro-phy-lac-tic, makers of toothbrushes. Lt. aging but unpunched/intact. VF. This version of the mask is rare, this display even rarer, the first we've seen in our 45 years. From the Bruce Cervon Collection.
