Item Description
First is 1.75" celluloid showing the Pleasure Pier (see previous item) with text on the button "Long Beach" and with pair of suspended ribbons with one reading "Anniversary I.O.O.F. Southern California April 26 1910." Button has about four very faint gray small age marks on its upper half. Reverse has backpaper by Hoegee. Next is 4" tall ribbon badge with brass hanger having celluloid insert reading "Long Beach 1906." Ribbon below has numerous splits but still remains firmly intact. This suspends a 1.75" celluloid showing female figure using a ramrod in a cannon barrel with text surrounding "July 4." Couple of tiny marks on left edges but the darkest one was dirt now removed. Back of the piece has a tin cover with minor oxidation. Next is 1.75" reading "Long Beach/Queen Of The Beaches." Celluloid has a number of long crack lines and is slightly concave but the piece remains clean. Next is 1.25" showing amusement ride with text "Aviator/I Flew On The Air Ship Spiralway Long Beach, Cal." Celluloid covering has yellowed but no stain and a small mark on top edge has been removed. Backpaper from L.A. Badge. Last is 1.25" again with yellowed celluloid but no stain although there is a fine crack line up the center showing very little. This button portrays the Old Auditorium, also shown on our third item.
