Item Description
This brass ring features a 1" dia. large top cover with high relief very detailed images of Buster and Tige both seated and laughing. These images are much like those used during the 1910-1920 era seen on numerous buttons for Buster Brown Shoes and Hosiery. However, gauging by the construction of the ring we feel the piece is more likely from the 1960's or newer. The ring top snaps open and the left side has a hinge which holds the cover as the secret compartment is revealed. The ring band is a 1/8" wide circular piece of brass with expansion band at the bottom. The top of the band is neatly soldered to underside of the secret compartment. The ring has a nice muted shiny brass tone. Overall N. Mint. Although we can't pinpoint the age we have seen only one or two examples. Great early images of Buster and Tige.
