Item Description
2.25" celluloid with glass on the underside but only about 50% of the silvering remaining on the glass and what remains is dark and crazed. There is no maker's name but we know this was made by Parisian Art of Chicago because we have the original art for the item, from their archives, in this auction as item #2192. The celluloid side of this piece includes name of the artist "Sidney Smith." There is spotting along the lower rim edge with just a few lighter dots going further inward. A small mark by Min's head was dirt now removed. Top side edge has 3/16" very dark dot in the celluloid but almost all of this is on the side with just a tiny hairline 1/16" sliver visible from the front. The color remains intense and the piece retains full gloss. The only example we have seen.
