Item Description
The pin is 1" tall enamel on brass depicting him with a bone in the mouth. Reverse has British registration number along with his name "Bonzo" and name of the artist "Studdy." This piece has the pin but the small loop to hold it in place has snapped off. The enameling has remains Exc. Next is a 1.75" narrow metal circle surrounding an upright figure of Bonzo in multi colored enamel. The circle has an additional small loop at right and left apparently designed to hold a neck chain. The non-enamel parts of this are in sterling with the one loop marked with the numbers denoting sterling "925." Beautifully made and the only example we've seen. Both pieces are from the 1930's. Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
