Item Description
1950's premium ring in bright yellow plastic with the "Poll Parrot" logo on the top of the red hinged lid. The lid lifts to reveal a fully 3-dimensional Howdy Doody head on the underside. The interior of the ring base has a red foam insert within a small compartment that holds Howdy's head when the movable top panel is closed. The ring is also known with a red base and yellow top. While the ring displays Mint, either opened or closed, the top panel is easily separated from the ring base. The lid's rear edge has a pair of near microscopic plastic prongs and one of these has a tiny bend to it. For this reason, its grip on the matching insertion hole is less firm than it should be allowing the ring top to pop off. However, with careful handling or for display this is not a problem and if the top does get bumped off it is easily repositioned. A scarce 1950's premium that typically exceeds $200.00.
