Auction #202 - Part II
Item numbers 1554 through 3213 in auction 202
Item Description
Lot of seven different, each 6x8" thin art board sheet with pen and ink original art and hand done text. Full art areas are about 4x6". Each has attached overlay sheet with some red color accents that were to be added to the printed product. In 1952 Bowman issued this series featuring the comic legend Milton Berle. The wrapper design featured an image of him wearing a crown and coming out of a TV set. Each pack contained a "comic" sheet that was wrapped around the gum and this art represents seven of those "comics." Great images of him as Confucius, an artist, child, in swimsuit, etc. Humorous text includes "Pa Says If Ida Wears Her New Jersey, What Will Dela-ware." Lt. aging to sheets but all original art is Exc. Unique.
