6.75x9" on "The White House" stationery dated Dec. 10, 1963. The typed letter is addressed "Dear Senator" but LBJ crossed out "Senator" and wrote "Olin" in black ink. Letter has bold matching black inked signature "Lyndon." Text reads "It heartened me to see your kind remarks in the record. Your warmth and generosity have given me confidence in these trying times. Warmest Personal Regards, Sincerely." Ft. horizontal fold as issued to the S.C. senator. Exc.
