Item Description
With the war over, Captain America turned set his sights on domestic crime. Cover artist Alex Schomburg contributes another highly detailed, danger-filled scene with Cap and Bucky facing machine-gun toting hoodlums. Bucky is dangling precipitously of the side of a building and judging from the smile on his face, is having the time of his life. Schomburg’s skill makes Cap look like he is relishing every single moment of the fight. Around them, an entire cityscape serves as the battlefield. Take special not of the way the crook is falling. The force of the blow is knocking him head-first to the pavement. Like Gil Kane, Schomburg was an expert at portraying realistic looking battles that still hinted at a bit of exaggeration. The pages are off-white. The book is CGC-certified 9.4 (NM). According to the CGC census this is the highest graded copy they have seen. The cover is perfect vision of organized bedlam.
