Item Description
The Human Fly is the villain on the cover, but the real danger is occurring just below him. Bucky is just about to fall to the rooftop below him and Cap is hanging on for dear life. This is a different cover for Cap. Normally he is portrayed as wading into a pile of villains with his fists flying. He is the aggressor. On this cover, he is reacting to the actions of the villain. This is a very subtle stylistic change. Syd Shores was an exceptional artist and, despite the super-villain, he gives the scene a real touch of humanity. The expression on Bucky’s face is one of astonishment combined with concern. In addition to art by Shores, the issue contains work by Carmine Infantino and Al Avison. There is also a Human Torch story. Take special not of the symbol up in the right hand corner. The page appears to be flipped back a bit and Captain America is declaring the book to be a Marvel Magazine. The pages are cream to off-white. The book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). According to the CGC census, this is the highest graded copy they have seen.
