Item Description
Cover artist Alex Schomburg places the Torch and Toro right in front of a crowded nightclub sidewalk. The war was over and Timely had changed their cover strategy for most of their covers. The heroes were now being portrayed in an urban setting. This time out, the heroes seem to be interrupting a robbery. Each one of them seems to be operating at the height of their powers. The woman in the mink is only able to escape because of the Toro’s well-aimed fireball. The highlight is actually the background cityscape that Schomburg provides. He excelled at these kinds of extra details. This issue contains the last appearance in the title of the Patriot. In addition, there is an appearance of the Cosmic Aeroplane. The pages are off-white. There is a very minor amount of color touch on the cover. The book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). According to the CGC census this copy is tied with one other as the third highest graded copy they have seen.
