2.5x3x1.5" deep cardboard box includes "Jack Armstrong" return address. Box has light dust soil and small wear along the right edge where the label was cut so the carton could be unfolded. Condition remains Fine. This was an immensely popular war years 1942 premium and the primary item is a wooden replica of the famous Norton Bombs sight constructed of wood 2.5" tall by 3.5" long by 1-3/8" deep. The body of the piece is covered by a paper label with five simulated gauges and dials captioned for example "Altitude Adjuster...Numbers In Thousands Of Feet." On the narrow end is a green wooden revolving cover which allows the loading of three red wooden bombs, each 7/8" long. Another edge of the piece has a green wooden viewing tube and when looked into there are a pair of cross hairs over a mirror which reflects whatever is below the hole on the underside of the device. There is some silvering loss but images can still be seen. The bomb launching is achieved by turning the green wooden revolving cover to drop each of the three bombs individually. With the item comes the rarely seen "Official Instruction Manual" as this was typically cut apart since the interior of it has 15 different ship and submarine targets intended to be cut-out. Cover of this has light browning but otherwise condition is Mint. The folded for shipment size is 3x4" and it opens to 3x18". An outstanding N. Mint complete premium as packaged.
