Item Description
This copy is part of the San Francisco Collection. It features another incredible cover by Golden Age great, Alex Schomburg. The cover is pure energy. Captain America is driving right over a group of enemy soldiers right inside their bunker. Bucky is tackling another soldier himself. The Human torch and Toro are racing to the scene to lend a hand. Down in the right hand corner, the Sub-Mariner is smashing two heads together. Behind the action, in the fenced in area, American prisoners of war cheer the heroes on. The issue contains appearances by the Red Skull and Hitler himself. Schomburg also contributes interior art. Other artists featured include Al Fagaly, Carl Pfeufer and Don Rico. The pages are white. The book has been CGC-certified 9.4 (NM). According to the CGC census, this is the highest graded copy they have seen.
