Item Description
The first one is a 2.5x5.5x1.5" tall wood brush w/stiff bristles featuring 1.25x2" decal on the top. This depicts a flying Superman holding a flag that reads "Superman American." This decal is totally different from those found on the standard brush and this was undoubtedly used as a club premium in the 1940s as this same Superman design was used on different club items including badges. Brush is quite clean and shows very little wear, has just a few small decal flakes. Still 99% complete. Brush is VF and rare. The second brush is one of a number of different varieties by Monarch Brush Co. copyright 1940 Superman Inc. 2.25x4x1.5" deep w/tan wood handle that has a full figure Superman decal depicting him w/hands on hips. Underside has stiff brown bristles. Wood body has scattered lt. rubs and scratches to the glossy finish, decal has a number of exceedingly minor flakes along extreme edges. Still near 100% complete. Fine.
