Item Description
1.5x4x6” box contains 6” long pressed steel picture pistol with metallic black finish. c. 1940s ©Superman Inc. Item #96. Box features flying image of Superman along with pistol and “Superman Of America” logo as well as filmstrip design. Box has one inner flap detached (included) and has obvious wear, a 1.5" brown circular stain on one side and is just Good but scarce. Gun comes w/3.5x6" two-sided insert sheet on tan paper w/printing in black. One side has list of films and includes illustrations of Superman, Red Ryder and Chief Wahoo. Opposite side is instructions. Has scattered dark stains along center but none of this affects Superman image. Overall Good. Gun is used by holding to the light and looking through small lens on back, film frames are advanced by pulling the gun’s trigger. Comes with 16mm Superman filmstrip inside of gun titled “Killing The Cab Racket.” Gun has scattered surface wear with some tiny spots of surface oxidation. Fine. Also included is a Dec. 1941 copy of "Children's Activities" magazine with a full back cover ad for all of the Daisy Picture Pistols with a focus on Superman. Fine. A classic Superman toy.
