Item Description
Dick Sprang’s unusual choice of perspective for the cover places it in a category all its own. The reader has to take an extra second to make sure that they are looking at the cover from the proper angle. As torturous as Batman’s dilemma may be, he is still smiling broadly as he decks the crooks to the deck below. Robin can be seen swinging up and into the shot from the left side. It is a wonderful portrayal of a battle on the high seas. Artists featured on the interior art include Sprang and Curt Swan. The issue also has a story by Bill Finger. The pages are off-white. The book is CGC-certified 7.5 (VF-).
