Item Description
There is nothing in the Batman canon like a great Joker cover and this one has to be among the top three. Dick Sprang was at the height of his powers when he created this classic image. With the Joker standing protected by his oversized playing cards, the King and Queen are suddenly coming to life and brandishing deadly guns. Both Batman and Robin can be seen recoiling in horror at the event. Other artists contributing to interior art include Curt Swan, Howard Sherman, Harris Levy, John Daly, and Steve Brody. The book has a story by writer Alvin Schwartz. The pages are off-white. The book is CGC-certified 6.5. (FN+)
