Item Description
The early covers of Batman may be the best-looking run of covers ever done for a major character. Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson created a series of simplistic images that still resonate over 60 years later. This portrayal of Batman and Robin swinging directly into the reader is a perfectly balanced image. Every aspect of this cover works. The action of the figures is matched by the size of insignia. At this point in the title’s run, the insignia was all that a reader needed to see. Among the writers who worked on this issue were Bill Finger, Ray McGill, Henry Boltinoff and Gardner Fox. The pencils and inks are done by Bob Kane Jerry Robinson, George Roussos, and Raymond Perry. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified 7.0 (FN/VF).
