This pocket watch was the first timepiece to feature a comic character. c. 1910. 2.25x3x.75" deep box has art images of "Buster Brown Blue Ribbon Shoes" for boys and girls although no image of Buster or Tige appears on box. Manufactured exclusively for The Brown Shoe Co. Inside lid has text instructions for use and also comes with loose warranty paper from Connecticut Watch Co. NYC. Box has lt. dust soil and bit of aging but is overall tight and Fine. Paper is lightly tanned but VF. Comes with 2" dia. chrome case watch with classic "Buster Brown Shoes" logo art of Buster with Tige. Watch has no loop, rims have some luster wear but much luster remains. Dial has aging. Watch is over-wound. Overall Fine.
