Item Description
8.75x11" spiral bound 1950 soft cover is titled "An Inventor's Scrapbook Res Loquitur Ipsa". Contains 88 pages reprinting newspaper clippings and Robert Fish statements and letters by and about the Fish carburetor inventor. Covers have trace of lt. dust soil and inside pages have bit of aging but overall book has VF+ appearance. Extremely limited distribution. J. Robert Fish invented his carburetor in the early 1930s and it was seen as a very serious threat to the "Original Equipment" on cars and could not be tolerated. The advanced carburetor was used on stock car racers by drivers including Larry Flynn and Fireball Roberts as well as on boats in speedboat races. The carburetor is still available today. Interesting biographical data on an important inventor.
