6.75x9" dated December 22, 1947 has nice photo of Yeager in uniform with caption on front "Credited With Super-Sonic Flight. Capt. Charles Yeager Is Reported To Have Flown An Experimental Rocket Plane, The Bell XS-1, Faster Than Sound According To A Story In Today's Issue Of The Magazine Aviation Week". Reverse side has numerous ink stamps from various publications which ran the photo between 1947 and 1953. Photo has dust soiling and creasing from being handled so many times. VG. Historic.
