Four items. Jan. 3, 1969 contract is 8.5x14" neatly filled out in blue ballpoint pen making Gil Clancy Griffith's manager for four years. Both men have signed at bottom with date of January 7 and contract has been notarized and approved by New York State Athletic Commission May 15, 1969. Four folds as issued, 3" area across top has a few lt. creases but most of contract will frame to Fine/VF appearance. Glossy photos are each 10x10" showing him and boxer Andy Heilman well-dressed on city street comparing fists and facing off each other. Each has been boldly signed in black ink "Emile Griffith". Back has photographer's stamp "Art Frisch". Photos have a few lt. handling creases. Near Fine appearance. 8.25x11" Oct. 1962 issue of "Boxing & Wrestling" magazine has 100 pages with cover photo of the Benny Paret-Griffith fight and has been boldly signed in silver ink at center. Covers have lt. handling creases and inside pages are lightly tanned at edges but otherwise near Fine appearance. Griffith was the first fighter from the US Virgin Islands to become a World Champion. He had 112 fights with 85 wins, 23 by KO. Gill Clancy is a Hall of Fame trainer and over the years worked with Griffith, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, and Oscar De La Hoya.
