Item Description
A rare and near-100% complete premium issued by Ralston, 1952. Comes w/ photocopy of assembly instructions and layout. There are seven thin diecut plastic pieces including four different crew members, pair of spaceships and large piece of equipment and these are 1.5" to 3" tall. All other pieces are diecut stiff paper including 10.5" long "Terra V" spaceship, magnetic Pylon, Nitric fuel tanks, Hydrozine fuel tanks, magnetic force control, large Space Patrol headquarters that stands 15" tall to the top of the antenna tower. All of these pieces are largely held together by tabs but where tabs did not hold well, on the edges of the rocketship and antenna column, clear tape was used and is now a bit yellowed. Also two small notched cut-outs are on top edge of the rocketship as original owner apparently threaded a string to suspend rocket in the air. The only thing that is missing is one of the seven plastic stands for the diecut plastic pieces. Also the wavy line accent piece on top of antenna tower is a professional replacement. Overall set is Fine to Exc. Makes for an exceptional display when assembled.
