Item Description
Each is 6.5x8.75" with 162 pages. Published by Best Books Inc. Each is designated "A Thrilling Publication" on front cover. Each has George Rozen cover and noted author Louis Lamour wrote stories for each issue under a pseudonym. Vol 1 #1 for fall 1950 has non-Hoppy related cover showing cowboy punching outlaw as pretty girl looks on. Inside story "Texas John Aldin" was written by Robert E. Howard under a pseudonym. Vol 1 #2 for winter 1951 has cover with William Boyd as Hoppy with gun drawn and Topper in bkg. Both issues have original owner's name written in ink at top edge of front cover. Some cover dust soil and a few moisture marks here and there. Cover edge seam on issue #2 has 7" seam split. Inside pages have bit of tanning. Overall covers Good. Pages near Fine. Nice to have both issues together.
