Item Description
Two items comprise all four Marx Brothers' autographs. 8-1/8x10.25" glossy still is ©1951 Loew's Inc. and titled "A Day At The Races An M-G-M Masterpiece Reprint" with scene from 1937 classic movie. Harpo is seated in center and being examined by Chico and Groucho who is wearing doctor's outfit. Photo has been signed in fountain pen ink "Chico Marx/Harpo Marx/Groucho Marx" and has inscription in ink at top margin "To Sylas (last name illegible) From The Marx Bros-". Inscription appears to have been written by Groucho. Photo is heavily creased though most creases are just visible in reflected light. Fine. Check is 3.5x8.5" dated 4/9/75 with Zeppo Marx name at top. The check is made out to "Friars Club" and has been signed in blue ballpoint pen "Zeppo Marx" in the amount of $24. Check has "paid" cancellation holes otherwise VF. Nice pair to frame together to have all four Marx Brothers' autographs for display. Both come with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
